The 'Touristic' Innsbruck

Year 2015 started off well - as usual :) We had big plans for our vacation coming forward , yet we did a small trip before that. It was the most beautiful Tyrol region with main attraction being Innsbruck and area around it. Innsbruck is regarded as the most touristic place in Austria and some other are Hallstatt and Salzburg. Every tour from India stops in Innsbruck as it resembles Swiss a lot. The white Alps around it , the lush green fields and small lakes flowing with ethnic wooden bridges over it complete the scenery.

On the way to TIROL:

It was planned to be a cool trip with families and kids. We started off from Brussels friday evening and stayed at Koln for the night. Then continued our trip towards Innsbruck the next day , on the way we went Hiking - a path suitable for kids . It was a 8km Hike and easy path with Gorges below it. Its called Leutascher_Geisterklamm. The evening was spent in this hike and then we returned to the house we had booked to stay together.

Leutascher_Trail:

The next day we started off to Swarovski museum . This was a place I wanted to go the from the first day I landed in Brussels.(The list is big !)It was a good one, a big queue for tickets , but there are group options for tickets. The museum is not equal to what it is being hyped for , they are different varieties of crystals, different sculptures decked with crystal. Halls inside the museum made of mirror or crystals and the best is for the end , what women love - a museum shop with whole of crystals jewellery but is no reduced price.
There is a good resto attached to the museum and a very different indoor play park for the kids. The play area is 3 floors and you can reach every floor by a slide or by rope climbing.

We finished our day and headed back home to cook, eat and laugh and sleep off.

Swarovski Museum:

The next day was the best part of our trip. It was a trip to to one of the most famous Glacier rocks in Tirol region . It was a peak season for skiing and we non-skiers did not have any clue how we would spend our time. The Stubai glacier is very easy to find and there are a lot of pamphlets available in Tirol region. We got tickets to reach the top of the Glacier. As we ascended the top of the glacier by cable cars one after another , it was beautiful sight and just entering into a white maze. We walked outside and into the glacier cave and on the way it was people with skiing equipment's , their big boots, slides and winter jackets and yes water all over. Oops and we dint have any.
It requires minimum a 3 day class to be able to ski a little and classes are offered in the glacier. So we set our mood right and went ahead and did what we could and what we liked. Playing the snow and throwing snow balls! We had sooper fun with the kids too .
After a good fight , we had our lunch and descended back down .
From the glacier we drove to the Inssbruck town, it was very crowded obviously and very touristic and I did not quite enjoy the beauty . Place for a good cafe as there are loads of cafe's and returned back home for a night of cooking, eating and sleeping.
