Living in Greece :)

:) No. That's not where I am or my next destination. This is the title of one book I read recently and it perfectly differs from other travel books. May be its due to the fact that its from Taschen written by Barbara & René Stoeltie, Angelika Taschen. I got it from a near by Taschen Store when there was a sale.
What I expected it to have was details about Touristic places in Greece, how to reach, travel options, some food and of course some culture. But the way this book is handled is way too different.
They bring Greece in front of us by explaining every beautiful house that was built in the long lost centuries. We can visualize the homes of Portokolas or Papadopoulos or Papadakis through this book which is still maintained fantastically with every single piece of furniture, single piece of art.
The piece of art or furniture may be the most simplest you have ever seen but the way they have preserved it by showing its true colours is remarkable. The book is on the whole a colourful tour of Greece. The major colours being white and blue.(what more can you expect from Greece). Over All I feel in love with this book - due to the photographs , the simple description(its in English,French and Dutch) and just thinking of the art of preservation. Some snaps...
