Could'N get more of ENGLISH!!!

Shame on me for posting really after a long time : But will try my best!!

After a lot of effort it was our time for UK - a really long awaited one. Reaching UK from Europe is not a joke for non EU citizen. We went to through the whole process of visa , immigration ! An expensive affair too. The visas for UK are stamped in Paris - woohoo Paris!!
But we just spent a day in Paris, after submitting the visa , went to the Eiffel and had awesome food from Saravana Bhavan under the shades of the majestic tower!!

OK.. Back to UK: Lots and Lots of planning was done from our side which was needed from every bit.
We started off to London - my dream city! . We took the eurolines bus to London from Brussels and the experience of travelling was way too different. The bus was boarded on to a ferry in the middle of the night and we had to get down and board the ferry too and we crossed the English Channel in the ferry for about 2 hours and then resumes to our bus. Sounds different but equally tiring. I would not suggest this for anyone.
So landing in the Victoria Coach stationand it was freezing cold ! As they say the weather determines the mood - I am a perfect example and I was all gloomy. But then as the day dawned the mood also changed! So off we started to glide on the streets of London :).
The fisrt spot was obviously London Bridge , then Tower bridge which was just magnificient. After this was that the surprise awaited us :).
Our next attraction was the Buckingham Palace - We walked a lot and traveled through metro and got down in Green park - Palace park. The biggest surprise that awaited us was it the Queen's birthday week and the entire royal family was out for the ride and we waited to get a glimpse of each and every one of them. WoW!! I was super happy. The weather did support us and we felt really good. We witnessed the Change of Royal Guards too! Wow. to see something happen that you have listened from young.Splendid! Then we continued are walking drill towards BIG BEN - what a work by man kind.. I dream of it even today. This is the place where all the Government office related to UK is present. The next land mark was the London eye . We visited the Piccadilly circus and the Trafalgar square. The first day of London felt almost like i have seen everything i have dreamed while growing. LONDON is a big city- I am no new comer to say this - but that i true.

Day 2: The next day was the normal Londoner experience where we had to succumb to the London rains and metro delay and reach our Harry potter walking tour late and hence we missed the Wimbeldon tour :( . But we being really enthusiatic - went ahead to Wimbledon ; visited the center court from outside and walked inside Lords ground just like that :) Awesome feeling!
We returned to our Harry potter walking tour and it was amazing. I got to see all different places where Harry potter was filmed - the ride through Thames ; the Gringots band building; the Magic Ministry - bring's a smile to our face.
Day 3: HYDE PARK!! My mum had fallen in love with it just reading about it and every inch being true - we had got lost due to its limitless boundaries.
We then had to visit Stonehenge - nothing much to talk about it - an old structure retained in a vast area of landscape and plenty of tourist.
Day 4: We headed to out to another dream location - Cambridge and its University and its splendid college! What a nerdy day I would say :) learning loads of facts about Cambridge and its college and its rich English history! Scones and Cream ! We visited the Trinity college ; Kings college - saw their favorite sport activity - Rowing . We headed to Chitra akka's place from there- Greenwhich .
We had a good stay and visited the Greenwhich meridien and the park. We visited the science museum since London has plenty of museum's with free entrance. We are not really "the museum people", but we did spend considerable time here going over everything related to planets, science and what not. It was real fun!
We went down to East Ham- the Little India in London and did not felt out of home. Loads of Indian shops , eateries and temples. Spent half a day there with a full Indian dinner.
Day 5: We started back and went to central London for some awesome shopping in Toy saurus , Primark and local places. Then we had to catch the train to the never ending Scottish Highlands:)

Scotland:

A place which I never dreamt we would go. But all praise to us we did it . The sign of Scottish scones everywhere, the high mountains, the long roads ... the cool breeze and it was every inch the Scotland I dreamt of.
The best way to cover the highlights of Scotland is to drive as far as possible. There is the Glencoe, western highlands , Loch ness, Loch Lomond, Isle of skye, multiple castles teaching us history and beauty.
We took the Rabbies Trailburner tours to cover the place . They took us to Glencoe,Western Highlands and Loch Ness and on the way back to Loch Lomond.
The huge mountains seemed like towering on us and calling us. It was nature at its best .
Loch Ness - Lake Nessie - was named after the lake monster that showed up in the lake while a photographer was capturing its beauty. Its a vast Lake, serene and again nature dominating.
Loch Lomond was much smaller but it was surrounded by the Hydrolis pink flower.

The next day tour was the tour of castles. Scotland is famous for castles as we know, we saw the :
- Kilburn
-Invernory
-Doune
-Stirling castle.

The walks to the castle was more like the English movies shot in Scotland , with huge lands of green grass and beautiful yellow flowers capturing our eyes . It was more of a Gladiator touch. The castles are soo old that they have ruins over them but the view still is admiring.
Some of the castle have such fantastic view , it still stands in front of my eyes.
We saw the Harry potter bridge which is used in the film to show the Hogwarts express pass :)
A wonderful day!!

Day 3 was the land of the hill: Edinburgh castle - We did not venture into the castle, but just toured around it and Edinburgh. The city is up on a mountain and all the roads are so up and down. We could clearly see the Scottish trend with people wearing the Kiln and playing their bagpipers on the roads. Tourist buzzing and enjoying the castle view. Awesome shopping experience of the real Scottish souvenirs.
We visited the PortoBello beach much inspired by the Paulo Cohello novel - It was a clear coast with a good view and time to end our Scottish expedition.
Wow I loved Edinburgh!! a must see.
We toured the Whisky making tour and the museum who gave us a clear experience of how whisky is made from malt - single malt and double malt! We tried to taste different kinds of whisky too - i hated the smoked flavour :( but liked the single malt.
There are flights back from Edinburgh to Brussels through Ryanair and this 10 day long trip proved every inch memorable.
