The Scandinavian Fjords!

You know there are 3 countries above the actual Europe and beside UK, I could not believe they were part of Europe even when i saw them multiple times in the Atlas in my room. But recently I had a  friend who frequented Norway and blowing the beauty. Only after our visit did I realize that the other part of Europe is much beautiful and scores the first place in my list and wins over Swiss according to me!
Trip to Norway was forseen as a more costlier thing than normal trips because of their economy.
Day 1:
We flew to Oslo(Rygge) and rented a car - my baby's first flight trip and with a lot of apprehensions in my heart and with a  gang of 17 people :)
At first sight, every place in Norway is a Fjord( combination of beautiful mountains and lakes). We drove to stay in Gudvangen which was in the AurlandFjord and our plan was to visit the Naeorfjord and Hardangerfjord.
We visited the Fairy tale castle first which was not very fairy talistic but the views were awesome.
We had some dramatic drives ahead with steep roads and endless tunnels and some diversions. We reached our stay in Gudvangen at night 3 am . The drive was crazy and my husband being a new driver, we were really in a new journey. Our eyes literally dropped to sleep during the drive, but we kept our spirits high to witness the beautiful things that followed.

Day 2:
Our first visit was to Aurland and to take the cruise and see the Naoerfjord, one of the best fjords of Norway. The cruise travel was awesome and we took our cars into the cruise too . The huge mountains, the awesome water and the lakes.  We did a bit of shopping in Aurland and continued our venture into area of Aurland. We drove up very high towards the Laerdal Snow Road , which was a beautiful sight and no words can explain that. The perfect snow road as we see in the pictures, where the walls around the road are formed with snow - Snow walls and stands high . WOW, what a sight! We spent quality time there and it was getting too cold and then we started to descend. The descend was an exhilarating view and time for more pictures and more beauty.
Norway is famous for its waterfalls and its not right to visit a couple of them. The falls were beautiful - curvy, straight and what not!  The Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall was a different one where we could see falls from behind and enter inside the falls. A good mild shower for us!
We also saw the Stalheim view point and what a sight. No words to explain the way the Fjords call us - only pictures.
The day ended with good cooking, laughter, conversations!

Day 3:
We started from our camping centre to the next Fjord - Hardengerfjord- called the Fruity fjord - every place is full of fruits - oranges, apples and pears. But we dint see any.. may be it was too late or too early.
But before the fjord we visited the Stegastien view point - the clear crooked view of the fjord and a place for some pictures and a calm tea/coffee.
The drive to the fjord was very serene, may be not a very easy for a driver but was a good one with nice view of the fjord. We just halted at a particular place to have some quick lunch and then visited some good falls.

Day 4:
We wanted to head back to Oslo this day and it was slow, calm good drive. Beautiful pictures, nice weather . We saw the smallest Stave church in Norway and it was really small. Stave churches are the one's that are built by monks during very old times and still retained to prove history.
We had some lunch and dinner at good places and went back to Oslo at around 1 pm.

Day 5:
The good trip comes to an end , taking back our flight to Brussels.

A Fjordistic trip!!
